As we gather this Thanksgiving to share food, laughter, and gratitude, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the true King who reigns in our lives—Jesus Christ. In Revelation 1:4-6, we are reminded that Jesus is not just a future ruler but the King who is present with us now. His authority calls us into lives of reverence, obedience, repentance, and witness.
This week, as you sit around the table with family and friends, consider how Jesus’ kingship shapes your daily life. Do we recognize him as King in the way we live, love, and serve? Take a moment to share stories of how God’s grace, truth, and love have guided you this year.
Use the study guide provided to explore Scriptures that highlight Jesus’ reign and discuss ways to live as his ambassadors.
Here are a few questions to spark conversation:
• How has Jesus’ presence shaped your life this year?
• What can your family do to reflect his love and grace during the Advent season?
• How can you live more fully in readiness for the King?
As ambassadors of Christ, our homes are embassies of God’s Kingdom. Let’s make them places of peace, gratitude, and love as we prepare for the Advent season.
If you missed the sermon from this past week on Jesus as King be sure to check it out.
“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood…to him be glory and power forever and ever! Amen” (Revelation 1:6).
Blessings,
Fr. Charles
